Now shop Home Centre online and on-the-go in India

On September 10th, 2017, we proudly launched our E-commerce sites and apps for Home Centre in India and made another dream come true.

Since we first made our move into India in January 2016 by launching the online businesses for Lifestyle and Max, we’ve worked towards being a part of the burgeoning Indian home and furnishings market. According to a report by the Business Standard, this segment is pegged at $30 billion (Rs. 1.9 lakh crore) in 2017, half of which is expected to be in the furniture category.

Home Centre had been a giant in the Middle East for over a decade before opening its first store in India in 2005. Since then, the brand has become the preferred choice for house-proud shoppers, expanding to 33 stores and covering all of India’s major cities. With this launch, Home Centre has brought its extensive range of furniture, home accessories, bed and bath products, kitchenware and gifting ideas, to its widest audience yet — online.

The launch of HomeCentre.com is the result of thoughtful planning, careful research and the desire to reach millions of new customers in locations where the brand doesn’t have a presence yet. With the new sites and apps, Home Centre customers can browse and shop over 4,000 household products and furniture anywhere, anytime, at their convenience.

Enjoy an easy, fast and user-friendly experience

From day one we wanted to make shopping Home Centre online or on-the-go simpler, faster and a whole lot more fun. Here are some awesome features that we feel help us achieve this:

  • Cash on Delivery for orders up to Rs. 25,000 — India is a predominantly cash-based economy which is why we’re incredibly proud to announce that Home Centre is one of the few E-commerce brands in the country to offer Cash on Delivery for furniture. Our team of rock stars has worked extremely hard to crack the logistics and operations of making this option available and we’re beyond excited to bring it to you.
  • Scheduled Furniture Deliveries — Home Centre’s online customers can choose to receive their furniture when they want it. This useful feature allows them to select a delivery date and time from a list of available options as they shop. In the UAE, Scheduled Deliveries have already proven to be popular, accounting for over 75% of total Home Centre orders.
  • The Landmark Rewards Loyalty Programme — Home Centre customers can now earn and spend Landmark Rewards points on the sites and apps. All they need to do is link their Landmark Rewards account with their online shopping account. It’s that easy!
  • A wide choice of payment methods — Other than Cash on Delivery, shoppers can easily pay by Debit or Credit Cards, NetBanking, digital wallets including Paytm, MobiKwik and JioMoney and Landmark Rewards points.
  • Favourites — This helpful feature allows customers to heart their favourite products and buy them later. It’s a really simple solution for shoppers who’ve fallen in love with a product but can’t decide whether or not to pick it up right away.
  • FastPay — Customers get to experience lightning-quick, 1-click shopping with our easy payment feature. When FastPay is enabled, shoppers can checkout directly from the product page itself. It’s a simpler, faster and more convenient way to shop!
  • Universal basket — Customers can conveniently shop Home Centre, Lifestyle and Max all in one go by adding their purchases into one universal basket. They can use the same password and username for all three sites and complete their shopping in one checkout.

Following forays into the UAE in 2015 and Saudi Arabia in July this year, India marks Home Centre’s third E-commerce launch. The brand is taking bold strides forward and we’re thrilled to grow with them every step of the way.

On a personal note, I feel as though I’ve come full circle with this launch. Back in 2015, I was managing Home Centre’s digital portfolio in the Middle East, when I became a part of brand’s first E-commerce launch in the UAE. Soon after, I moved over to the Landmark Group’s Web Team as Senior Product Manager. Now, as we launch Home Centre online in India, I feel an incredible sense of pride and achievement to be a part of this journey. #proudmoment
